I was interested in buying one of the gen 3 games when I was working on completing the pokedex in Platinum and it was $50 for just a loose cartridge, not to mention the ocean of fake repro carts floating around either.

Prices will come down and you can still get pretty good deals because parents or clueless normies are always selling their old shit for low prices, you just have to commit to no lifing for a while in order to catch these deals.

I bought everything in that image for less than 500 bucks in only the last 3 months.

I was thinking of getting either plastic or acrylic cases (just so the cardboard isn't damaged any more, some of them are already in mediocre state) and then putting them on a shelf to display the spine art, like you would do with other games.

Trying to get the main games first, the spin offs I have I had already or were a result of good bundle deals. But maybe I should collect the spin offs first and wait for the main games to go down in price.

I only collect the handheld games since my parents couldn't afford consoles when I was a kid.
Just a handful of games left to get: Blue, Diamond, Y, and SwSh.
Other part of my collection is modding handhelds but that's not really what this thread is for.

HGSS and BW were stolen from me so now I only have SS and white out of those. Other than that I have LG, RSE, DPPt, B2, US, don't really care for more frankly.

The BW DSis are great special edition consoles. Wish I got one. The black one for some reason had gold font and it was weird.
For some reason the European releases just had POKEMON without the Black or White part.
