Honestly, PSA9s are worthless from an investment perspective and from a collectors perspective. If you're a collector who just wants to have and hold the card for their "collection," then you wouldn't get a slabbed card likely, or you wouldn't care about its grade.
If you're an investor, the drop off in value from PSA10 to PSA9 is absolutely staggering. Often it's a 10x reduction in value. Who gives a fuck that PSA9 is 2x raw, when PSA9 is worth TEN TIMES LESS than PSA10?
If you're an investor, you should be going for PSA10s or bust -- there is no point in getting anything lower. And if you just want the card for your collection and have no intention of selling, just get nice thick cases like One-touch or something similar. No need to pay the graded premium, especially when modern grading standards are inconsistent.
