>>48339445Nope. A while back Venusaur got buffed. Solar beam/sludge bomb became the sniper build everyone always wanted it to be. Not meta-defining, but usable and useful for steal objectives.
Then in a recent patch, Timi decided to make Petal Dance/Giga Drain viable too by giving Giga Drain a 40% damage reduction buff after using it, making Petal Dance do some good damage, and buffing Venusaur's ult so it wasn't complete dogshit. Now Venusaur is in contention for the top carry in the game. Muscle Band/Buddy Barrier/Focus Band or fully maxed out Energy Amp/Shell Bell/[Muscle Band or Defensive Item of your choice] are both viable builds.
It's pretty brain dead too. Run in, Giga Drain once, Petal Dance, slap people around with your autos, then use abilities as they come off cooldown with priority on Drain. Machamp can start a CC chain to keep Venusaur from getting any damage off, but your team NEEDS to follow up or you get melted by Venusaur, let alone the rest of their team.
