I wouldn't count Viridian or Hau'Oli as second towns since they don't really fit, you could probably argue for Iki to be included but it's technically the first town since the normal first town is just not present in Alola.
Floccesy, Wedgehurst, Sandgem and Accumula all did right with the second town situation by having it be more than just a stop-gap between the hometown and first major city. Between Cherrygrove, Aquacorde and Oldale it really comes down to how interesting the environment is, Oldale is easily the worst of the three due to the sheer basicness and repetitiveness of its design, Cherrygrove has the most going on out of the three although Aquacorde does have the stronger visual design for its settlement.
