I only just now began to realize how cute Simipour is. The monkeys have been pretty tossed aside by most fans, Simipour itself only seeming to find what little footing it has in smut and femboy art or whatever from my brief searching for a pic to use. But it really is a very stylish and appealing design I think. Simple, a nice inviting shade of blue, and while cliched, suggests its typing nicely beyond its color scheme. And while the whole see no hear no speak no stuff was pretty inconsequential, I think having the blank eyes serve a dual purpose of making it look like it's doing a happy, cartoony expression does give it a lot of personality and appeal.
Idk, I know that's a lot of words to say it's cute. But I'm just surprised by how long I overlooked it. I can think of plenty of genuinely ugly and garish designs. But the monkeys in whole, I find to be really inoffensive, and have a lot of personality and style that sets them apart from each other a lot more then I think people give credit to as far as being a trio. And that includes Simisear who I recall winning some sort of mosthated Pokémon poll or something some time ago. Idk, I can think of way worse pokemon than something who's only blight is being dopey looking.
I might be tempted to actually try using one in game if I ever do a reply of BW, although unlikely.
Is the getting forced onto you stuff lame, sure. But I can't help but find the dex filler stuff fairly minor when it comes from a gen that introduced 150 or whatever. I think they earn their keep plenty. It's no more dex bloat then the eeveelutions. They have just as much differentiating them then these guys do.

>>48346887A genuinely pretty and appealing design. I think the fact such nice designs have to be forgone for not sticking out in the context of battle is a damn shame.
