>Upon beating each gym leader, release all of your pokemon. You are permitted to keep one until you catch a Pokemon in the next area, but must be immediately released afterwards.

i think i will go with another plant-monotype challenge.
plant is my favorite type and there are enough plant mons to do it without repeating any mons i used in previous plant-monotype challenges.

let's just hope the honey-smeared-on-trees mechanic isn't as stupid in the remake as it was in the original.
