>>48366264rgb - was exclusively a pc gamer until ps2, later got yellow.
gold - played crystal when it was new, playing silver now, may play gold at some point in the future but no immediate plans.
leaf green - between my sister and I we had all the other games and we got a slowpoke from someone else at an event to fill our dexes.
pt, hgss - played both dp for version exclusives and 3rd starter before giving pearl to my sister and handling the rest with wifi, having played those and crystal the rest of gen 4 seemed redundant at the time.
white, white 2 - got black and black2, used wifi for version exclusives.
omega ruby - same deal as gen 4 since my sister wanted to give pokemon another shot and kept my copy of y, tried alpha sapphire after thinking remakes could have potential and missing out on hgss and was sorely disappointed.
Trudged through all of gen 7 because other than moon they were all gifts and I was out of valuable things to trade for the version exclusive legendaries/ultra beasts to fill my living dex anyways, on top of usum adding new species of pokemon without patching them into the previous games while previous new games only added new forms.
lgp - played lge just enough to get meltan for my go group since I was the only one with a switch.
swsh - dex completion has ALWAYS been my favorite part of the games and none of the new stuff looked improved enough to justify splitting my living dex up.
bdsp is almost certainly out, updated underground and contests look cool but I can just boot up the original for anything else. Legends looks like it'll be more like a spinoff and break from the formula so cautiously optimistic, but still not thrilled with what they've shown given how many things HAVEN'T been shown with Game Freak's track record for removing features and how close it is to launch. At least for now I've got rom hacks and randomizers to get my catching them all fix.
