>>48372892that's fair, but even in that sense i like that people here are stupid, abrasive, loud, deceitful, aggressive, etc. even if it's intolerable at all times those are human things, those are human emotions and actions. i don't know that people here are robotic sheep who only repeat the same dead catchphrase (maybe for like fpbp nonsense) maybe some ideas, concepts, and talking points get replicated but that's any forum of discussion.
on reddit, every single action is fake, every message is put through a hard scrubbing filter, every person acts like their brain was written in 20 lines of code. every opinion is juxtaposed neatly so people can fall into specific frameworks that don't dare allow for external pressure, every joke is soulless and manufactured, every discussion is ultimately a tautology, even the attempts to identify it all as such just get built right into the structure. it goes beyond the basic comparison of (You) farming here/karma farming there, there's something genuinely WRONG with the brains of people who use and enjoy reddit. we're largely just assholes, but they're alien
