I'm selling my 2DS but it has all my Sun&Moon shinies inside.
I do have another 2DS device but only one Ultrasun game cartridge.
So how in fuck do I move my shinies to the 2DS I'm going to keep?

You can transfer your console, game, and save data to the other 2ds if it's digital.
If the sun and moon are physical then you'll be fine to just plug it into the other 2ds

The copies are physical? Then just put them in the other 2DS, they should work fine.
If you want to transfer your digital stuff from one 2DS to the other:
>Settings > Other Settings > 4 > System Transfer
It'll walk you through from there. If you've used the one you want to transfer to, you'll have to format your system memory. That'll kill all your saves and anything on the target console.

All the way up to the switch, yes. The switch is the first Nintendo console with cartridges that saves to the console instead of the cartridge since the cart slot is read only.

Yes, it'll transfer themes, badges, and friend code info. *All* your info transfers over when you do a system transfer

Btw I still don't understand how the eShop works in the 3DS. I can't remember ever making a specific user account like I did with my Switch.
Is it just system bound automatically?
Sometimes I buy used 3DS machines and I get the previous owner's themes and stuff.

mod both 2DS, install checkpoint on both, install PKSM on the one you want to keep.
with checkpoint, take the ultraun save and export it to the sd card, then copy the save to the sd card of the 2DS you're going to keep. now you go on PKSM and open the save you extracted and take all the shinies to the save in the 2DS you're keeping. if you didn't understand ask vincydroid#8564 on discord

Not him, but resetting the console still lets you redownload whatever software was bought for it, at least it's true for my 3DS with "preinstalled" mario kart on it

I just did the system transfer. My shit ass motherfucking internet connection decided to die at phase 5/5 which is Nintendo eShop info transfer.
The target console is now in eternal limbo and will not finish the process. The source system has lost all its themes and downloaded content even tho Internet is back up
FFUUUUUUUUCK
How can this process rely on Internet connection that has to be shared wirelessly to several devices at once?
