It's real worth is the experience they gleaned building it, which can be translated to further games in the series (as they said when they said Legends marked a new direction for the series) but beyond that and the new pokémon available, there's nothing else going to be taken forward from Gen VIII. Hell, Ohmori's nowhere to be seen and he can't HELP but put his smug mug front-and-centre when presenting a new game he directed. If the series lead director isn't directing it, as evidenced by him being absent from all promo videos concerning it, can't be that big.
