What are some things people do that make you cringe? For me it's imposing real life biology into the pokemon. There's some neat tree of life type of art but all I've seen tend to be based off real life biology rather than actual pokemon biology. The existence of egg groups throws all that out the window. It means that real life biology amounts to pretty much nothing. One of the ones I saw had tangrowth and venasaur in opposite ends of the tree but the fact that they can produce viable off springs means they're closely related. Lucario and Cacturne can produce offspring and there's the infamous skitty on wailord. A pokemon tree of life would look more like a vann diagram. Things like that show that Pokémon biology clearly does not follow real life biology.
