I finished playing this game but I don't get what part of it is supposed to be "peak of the franchise"

BF is boring because there's no QoL from the newer games so building a team takes forever. And the battles themselves take too long because of how slow the battle system is and the fact you need to repeat 21 filler battles every time you lose.

Could be fun on using speed up on an emulator + pkhex though.

Either gen 1-2 because they were the highest quality and most innovative relative to the time they released, or whatever the newest game is simply because the gameplay is the same but it has the most QoL features. This franchise is so samey that anything inbetween is kind of pointless to play.

All Gen 1 has going for it is being the first one and all Gen 2 has going for it is being Gen 1's DLC and footstool. Sorry but she's wrong. The only time the games were good was Platinum and Gen 5.

It‘s the „muh game I played as a child definitive version“ game just refined gen 4 more, with an expanding dex, different graphics, adding battlefrontier. And small changes like you can now battle this npc here, which no one ever used honestly.
It‘s a fine game but nothing special. People just cry about muh battle frontier, something they never actually did. It is boring and I hope they will make the swsh tower in bdsp with a rank system instead of strikes
