They're the DP sprites and DP sprites mainly use the same color palette as the Gen III sprites. Piloswine was fixed in Platinum, Sentret was fixed in HGSS, and Claydol was fixed in BW.

Believe what you want to believe, but selectively using the DP sprites and not the BW sprites (or even Platinum or HGSS sprites) when making the comparison is unfair. Salamence's wings are off in Gen IV because Salamence's color was completely off in Gen III.
