The pokedex pages have "quests" that require catching a bunch of the same species a certain number of times, using a move with that species in battle a certain number of times, etc. Why do people think Centro has ever been a reliable source when half the time they throw out vague lies and the other half they reveal details already shown within footage TPCi provides us

it's more grindy than monster hunter, but it doesn't have the fun gameplay of it, so you just have the drawbacks

The game will be bad and game freak will think it's because we don't like this new type of adventure while the gameplay just sucks

I feel like the reverse will be true too. Legends Arceus is essentially a tech demo. Something Gamefreak threw together to test a bunch of things out that could end up in a future mainstream game but because it will just be a grindy empty tech demo. I think fans pushing against change in the franchise will say things like "See? It doesn't work! It has to be the way it's always been." When that's not really the problem. The problem is Legends Arceus isn't a game, it's a collection of things Gamefreak wants to practice at and do focus testing on. Which is a really poor idea.
