I didn't even realize Wikstrom had most of his team doubly weak to Fire & Fighting, was unintentional, I just picked Pokemon that fitted well with his Knight aesthetic, I never really got why he had a Probopass in XY, like Klefki I get even though I disagree with since it game him two Kalos Pokemon at least.
I wanted Lysandre's team to be a mix of Fire and Dark, so Gyarados and Pyroar were carryovers from his original team, Houndoom because it has both types, Heatmor to fit with the industrial appearance of the locations you tend to encounter Team Flare in. Pangoro was so his team had another Gen VI Pokemon on it, I could've gone with Honchkrow but between Houndoom and Gyarados his team was already running 2/5 similar with Cyrus' so I didn't want a third. Plus his team would work well in showing Pangoro evolving since his first battle could have a Pancham and it evolves into a Pangoro later as a result of him having Houndoom on his team.
As for Delphox on Diantha's team, honestly I was just looking for Pokemon that kinda fit her character, I probably could've gone with Gourgeist and it would've worked fine though, it's surprising how many Pokemon that could fit nicely on Diantha's team just aren't in the Kalos Pokedex.
