Swsh should have been a wake up call, not being able to use all the pokemon, a feature the games had been recognized for over the last 15 years, pretending it was for the quality of the underlying game, when that was shockingly low quality for the system it's on, especially when you comlare it to SM in the 3ds.
Unfortunately, the games have now sold the most out of any pair released after pokemania, cementing in the minds of the people at GF, TPCi and Nintendo that pokemon can sell extraordinarily well, despite how poor the quality of the product is.
If, when it's released, gen 9 looks worse than swsh, plays worse than swsh, has less pokemon and uses the same models/animations as before, then people might actually notice. Then again, there are retards on the internet who will defend GF and pokemon no matter what, and they are always the most visible online, meaning someone looking at it from a distance will only see the poeple saying "the games are fine". By the time they discover the inverse, they've already contributed to the sales numbers.
Some people on here post that gen 9 is happening next year because gen 8 is so shit, they want gen 9 to come out. What thry don't know is that GF now have motivation to make the games worse and worse just to see what they can get away with while maintaining good sales numbers.
