I mean yeah, it's implied that at least Aura Sphere is possible thanks to the aura guardians and adepts, and magic possible in the anime(Ash Pikachu still feels like a fever dream.)

To be fair Pokemon and Humans were originally one species that branched from each other, maybe being raised in a particular environment and being more in touch with nature can allow you to do certain feats like how humans raised around Pokemon can communicate with them. Or maybe it's just a non-canon kids film and we just shouldn't think about it too much.

The villain in this movie was so needlessly evil it was hysterical. The nature scientist guys smacking down trees that weren't even in their way using their robot. Dumb movie, but the silliness kept me entertained.

A lot of the pokemon they used as background fodder seemed really out of place in a jungle. For example, why the fuck is Flygon, a desert dwelling pokemon there? And most of the grass types they used didn't seem very tropical and felt like they'd make more sense in a woodland setting or something.
