Nah he's pretty based.
Used one in Y during a recent replay, and he had some pretty hard hitting attacks.

Unfortunately he went down pretty quick, but that might be because mine had a bad nature.

The fur and leaves look almost like a beard and scarf, but in the coincidental way we might ascribe clothing to a real animal, I like that. Looks like he would make a fun grass tank, just some real four move slot syndrome between milk drink and bulk up. The physical defense isn't Alakazam bad but it hurts. You might make him a gimmick grassy terrain assault vest terror with Tapu Bulu but then you're weakening his earthquakes.

make it a full blown Story of Season or RF clone autismo.
Full of farm useful Pokemons,mulch fertilizer, berry farming, cooking recipes with berries, the shards and stones as upgrades for tools
Kami trio or lake trio as whatever Harvest spirit, some token cute mons as harvest sprites and festivals.
Put on honey slathering and full time bug catching, fishing sidelines, seasonal changes
Also having to court and marry too.

No, Gogoat was a flawed design fronlme the get-go. It has no real niche and nothing in particular that sets it apart in a national dex environment.

Well, with the original XY supposed to replace bikes with Pokemon riding, Gogoat's niche would've been that, as presumably Gogoat would be one of only a few Pokemon that actually could be safely ridden.
