>>48420607Here, I'll give my personal, legitimate criticism of Generation 6 from me. None of the XYsider stuff. It's not even my least favorite game but because a point of contention seems to XYsider, I want to back off from it.
>The story is poorly written.Outside of a few select moments, I felt really nothing from the story. I laughed at the German in France for some reason, but past that, I couldn't really feel like I was getting into a new, exciting world for whatever reason.
Lysandre's motives not only don't make sense, but are revealed far too late into the game to make an impact on the enjoyment. I couldn't care less what Team Flare was doing, I just knew that they wanted me to stop them. Even compared to Team Magma/Aqua, at least they made it clear they wanted to help people by giving more land/water. It was misguided and foolish for sure, but it at least made sense and their heart was in the right place.
>The distribution is bad.Not in the same way Gen 4's is, but rather in the way most Pokemon are presented.
For example, you get Riolu ridiculously early in the game, which completely destroys any point in having Korrina's Lucario come with you.
>New mechanics are underutilizedMega evolutions, Pokemon riding, Horde encounters... they're either poorly utilized or simply totally underutilized. It's even more insulting because they never receive further expansion past XY, except in OR/AS with megas.
>Photo SpotsOkay, this falls under above, but this could've been so much cooler with more animations and more interesting things to take pictures of. I think you can take pictures of Pokemon, so the lack of animations Pokemon tend to have disappoint me. U/S/M did the same thing.
>Horde encountersIt's just the UI man, who makes a UI like that? I could've made a better UI, and I'm super shit at the UX. I really like the idea though.
