But at least most pokémon should have a "kicking" or "punching" animation if they're capable of it, that could be shared between many moves.
That and they really need to start using more of the animations they make for the Amie variants in battle. Pokémon should be able to express emotion depending on the move, for instance. How much better would shit like twinkle tackle have been if they had used the pokémon's running animation when it flies around, and the "happy" animation when waving the opponent goodbye ?
They HAVE that shit, all it would require is for them to call for it during the move animations.
