Less than 16% of the Kalos Dex was Gen VI Pokemon. That said, I find it convenient how you can complete the entire National Dex (excluding mythicals) using just XY and ORAS, because it meant that paying for Pokemon Bank in order to transfer Pokemon from Gen V was optional.
