Like I understand humor is subjective but so much of Clover was just painfully unfunny, no sense of timing, no sense of buildup, no real even cleverness, just shoving memes and references and Aristocrats-tier nonsense and antihumor in your face for the hell of it. Like I get it, fuck trannies right, but there's nothing done with the joke. I got a laugh out of the first tranny I fought because of the design but then it was the same "haha I rape kids" shit the same time, it wore out, along with pretty much everything else.

The field effects can be played around or played with and add at least degree of complexity, the EVs are just a fuck you to the player that basically says "hey, we don't really care about making our boss fights actually tricky or fun, we're just going to give opponents huge stats compared to you, hope u rike it ;)" and that's that. The weird unbalanced dex didn't help either.
Though at the end of the day I guess we did have different experiences, I didn't really enjoy Reborn a ton either, but I did enjoy it more than Clover and this is before an update that allegedly will make Reborn a lot more bearable. Though yeah that suicide did fucking suck.
