Great…. Another complete breeze through the game as you become vastly overleveled above already braindead npc trainers and gym leaders.. why can’t they just make it optional? Makes no goddam sense as to why they want to make their game a fucking cakewalk for everybody. Or at least scale the levels of npc’s to make up for it..

Yeah, no shit it’s gonna be easy. Yeah the older games were easy in general, but there were always certain parts that took a bit more thinking and effort to get through. With SwSh you literally one shot every single enemy mon throughout the entire game

Kek I guess… but the way you play, not only do you use just one mon the whole game, the first one you get, but you also make the game a breeze. So if I want a game that’s more challenging and I like having a team with multiple mons, why on earth would I want to play the way you do?

Well, gen 2 on had the exp share hold item where it would give 50% exp to the mon holding it without having to use it in battle at all. That is until they got rid of it in gen 6. I think that was honestly the best exp mechanic..

100% agree, I don't get why autists here don't just switch their party around? I don't mind the new system because it lets you run a team of 8 or so mons instead of 6.

It should be an option, but the reality is that pokemon games have never been hard in the first place and any difficulty needed to come from challenges you make yourself like a Nuzlocke.

Why exactly are the rest of your team so underleveled while your starter is at the 70s, a level that would absolutely not be possible in normal play at all without grinding? And that too, before even finishing the game
