>>48428434Here's all I'm saying. I own all the games and have been replaying them over the last four-five years. And every single one I play I have fun in some way. But:
>I've yet to finish Platinum all the way through even though I enjoy it all the way up to the E4, it becomes a grind fest near the end and I've never felt incentive to continue past. The same applies for X&Y>SwSh by far has the worst story and is tied with S&M for worst nu-mon designs. Even then, building perfect teams, den raiding, and the online experience isn't that bad and keeps me playing even now.And then:
> HGSS has been replayed by me the most and hands down has the best replayability. It's just fun, the pacing is good, and the experience on the whole is the best imo Pokemon has to offer.>ORAS brought back hoenn in a great way, between dexnavving and really broadening the dex, and the event legendaries given their own (albeit shitty) stories was a nice touch. The games are far from perfect but they are a lot of fun and have a lot of replayability. So in my opinion, in terms of replayability, Pokemon platinum and X&Y fall short of the mark. B&W are different enough than their counterparts that replayability is there for a bit but it does trail off after a few. SwSh are good for two replays tops and after that you're better just grinding up those playthroughs than replaying.
And as for replaying with the most enjoyment, HGSS & ORAS offer a lot of fun features and side content to really keep the single player experience enjoyable for many runs. And though Alola is lacking on the whole, the Dex is huge and their are options that can keep enjoyable for more than a couple replays. But it's still not on standard as the first two.
For reference, my favorite games are SS & Emerald and I think Crystal set the stars are for Pokemon games since it's creation.
