I kind of like it. Pokemon is at it's best when things are vague and unexplained so having dozens of different species turn the same color for no reason is cool. They mostly look bad but whatever, tons of pokemon are shit colors in the first place.

Every pokemon should have a bunch of different colors anyways. Tangela as example, vines should have several different options and shoes should have several options for color. You could get brown vines and orange shoes or default vines white shoes.

For Gen 1 and 2, it's because of the algorithm they used to procedurally generate shinies. And it just so happened a lot of those palettes had mostly green in them. After that, they hand-picked the shiny colors.

Not only is Escavalier the only neon pink one from that gen, but the others are a nice soft pink (save Virizion who's more reddish). So were you trying to make a point or are you just trying to stir shit up?

My point is that the disgusting pink
shinies were abundant before Gen 5.
I basically said this is surprising because the gens before 5 were usually overall great games with very minor flaws.
