Top two fondest memories:
When I first entered Kanto and checked my PokeMap to be delighted by the Kanto map. Holy shit, I'll never forget that moment in my entire life I think. The music, the fat guy welcoming you to Kanto plus the road to Indigo League is probably the greatest Pokemon moment.
Climbing Mt Silver. My team was so shitty I had to climb it several times to get to the top. When I saw Red I went full basedboy "woah" reaction. I couldn't believe it. It took me days to actually defeat him, and when I did and the credits rolled I... I honestly cried, knowing this was the real ending, and grateful to have experienced such an amazing videogame. Never felt anything like this with a videogame after, but again, I was like 6~8 when I first beated it.
Other good moments:
The first step outside my New Bark Town's home at morning with that blissful OST.
The OST in general.
My first egg after defeating Falkner.
The top of the lighthouse with Jasmine and her sick Ampharos.
Clair's badge mini-plot.
The first step on Vermilion too.
Getting to Pallet Town.
Defeating Blue.
Destroyed Cinnabar Island.
Lavender Town and it's new happy song, so comfy, it still makes me feel nostalgic.
Fuck. Gen 2 was such an amazing experience. I feel genuinely sorry for those Johto haters devoid of soul who can't enjoy this amazing videogame.
