>>48440694>Splitting hairs this hardSoft introduced is not the same as"Fully functional and realized" and it comes off as a desperate attempt to nitpick against a specific Pokemon gen
Gen 1 had a single walking mon mon, but gen 4 was the one that perfected the concept and actually made it a full feature
>PSS being the best is an opinionPSS being best is a fact, unless you'd like to say which one was better
>EV trainingOlder games had no way of easily getting rid of invested EV points, and if you wanna count grinding the same random Pokemon encounter or buying medicine as "Training"then you have a very poor definition of the word (and those features are still there, for the record)
>Gen IV stands outYeah, but a lot of slack can be cut due to legitimately being their first 3D Pokemon game
(Conversely, Gen 8 lacks that advantadge because not only was it preceeded by another pair of games, stronger harware means you can bruteforce many of the troublesome things in the presentation department)
Mind you, I'm not saying Gen 6 is pretty or anything, but it looked serviceable (especially because of the fact that it was the first with 3D models for the mons)
