I didn't actually pay for the base game, got it second hand by trading in 3DS games I no longer need since I've got Luma3DS and Twilight Menu installed, but I did buy the DLC and it's the only part I really felt was worth putting money towards. Though, if I could have it my way, I would have only bought the Crown Tundra portion. IoA is fucking boring and the additional content it added didn't feel very substantial to me outside of finally giving the starters G-maxes they really should have had in the Base Game.
Calyrex having an actual personality and roaming legendaries being made actually fun for once are some of the most god tier additions to the series, but a shame they had to be additions to one of the most by the numbers games to date (at least, imo). But hey, it's more fun than I'm guaranteed to get from BDSP, which I don't even know if I'll be bothered to pirate at this rate.
