Basic “guard caste” members are skinnier and have recessed jaws. They’re not very intelligent unless the subject is something that might be important to protect human life, kind of like idiot savants. Many emergency surgical techniques were taught to humans by guard caste gardevoir.
Less common “ambassador caste” members have a more human appearance and psychology. They’re socially and intellectually indistinguishable from an above average human, and they’re able to communicate telepathically with humans without needing to establish a psychic bond. They make appearances at human social gatherings and special events, like the pokken tournament, for the purpose of creating good PR for their species.
The jawline “gardevoir” isn’t actually a gardevoir, but it was mistaken for one because it was wearing a battle gown. Unlike with true gardevoir, the battle gown isn’t fused to its body. The Pokédex wouldn’t identify it as Pokemon life if it wasn’t wearing it. Like humans, they grow gradually, can’t perform moves unless wearing a battle gown, and have no problem talking. They reside in another dimension. They created gardevoir and gallade by splicing their DNA with pokerus DNA, and they sent them to the human world as a gift.
