I've barely had time to play it yet what time I have had has been spent almost entirely in the photo editor, I've had a lot of fun with it

In some ways better in some ways worse. Forcing pokemon to evolve by beating them up and torturing them was a lot of fun. The courses overall are way better in New snap

There were a few things I disliked about it. The fact that a lot of the pokemon don't even respond some or even all of the tools you get to get their attention or provoke a reaction (fluff fruit, pokeflute, etc.). The 4 tier photo grades is an interesting way of increasing the amount of gameplay, but I felt it was more of a chore than anything.

More courses, more mons, alternate routes and mon distributions, day and night in the same level. That said the Pokemon aren't as responsive as the first game and many will just stand there as you pelt them with apples or play the flute.

I think it's a much better game, but I like it less. Still great tho.

I have too much nostalgia for the original to avoid that, and I think the sequel can get a bit too obtuse in how to draw out certain Pokemon behavior.

I've played both and overall is way better. I miss being able to evolve some of the mons but the amount of secret interactions is impressive, got the 100% of the game and I still find shit more often than I could expect. Over 110 hours to get everything and needed to check guides for some specific photos.

Far better. I'm still putting tons of time into it to try and grind out the leaderboards. I'm stil stumbling across interactions I never knew existed. I won't go as far to say it's perfect; like others have said it is a bit sad that some pokemon just shrug off any interaction, and the sound design in the original was god-tier. But aside from minor gripes I think it's one of the most satisfying sequels to a game I've ever played.

Beat the game and go to the jungle.
In daytime it should simply appear near the spot where the aipoms cross the log and all you have to do is hit it with illumina balls every time you see it. You might also have to scan the ruins after you hit it three times. Can't remember if that's for day or night.
At night immediately turn around and play music for the morelulls behind you. A glowing orb will approach and hitting it with a fruit reveals Mew. Like daytime, the orb will continue to appear and you just need to throw fruit at it and then (maybe) scan the ruins.
