>>48454387>HGSS... yes.
>Neither did Platinum.Technically, no. Last I checked, they redid everything so that the battles took place in psuedo-3D(this is why the weird zooming effects were implemented in BW), and they also had to implement ACTUAL 3D to a previously EXCLUSIVELY 2D engine.
>It was better than having to use friend codes like Platinum.I stand here today having to defend my least favorite Pokemon game, and I can still tell you that no, MK:DS multiplayer was genuinely worse than having to use friendcodes. I can't believe I have to say this.
Literally fucking any experience was better than MK:DS' online. ROBLOX on dialup was better, and I had actual dialup going into 2009.
>GF's lazinessMaybe, but it's also clear that if you looked at Diamond and Pearl, they had trouble trying to develop the game. I suspect they just ran into trouble trying to design it, or (see below) they just didn't view it worth the time and effort.
Besides, LAN play is what actually extends longevity, and online matchmaking feels soulless to me, especially when you can't talk to the other guy and tell him either he's a faggot or he's doing well. Yes, it could've been handled better, but even given the fact that "online gaming" was still actively considered a fad even into 2010, when we had fantastic multiplayer games like Team Fortress 2, Command and Conquer, or Minecraft, it makes sense why one wouldn't want to take time to implement it.
>Doesn't stop them from being there. It can, however, stop false perceptions of ones from being there. I'm not going to argue the story further, since you seem like you're deadset on disliking it, while I viewed it as probably the only redeeming factor of Platinum.
