I think they probably didn't make the first two or maybe even three games wirh that in mind, but then later on picked up a pattern that they noticed. It can be useful to have that jumping off point, sometimes asking "what would a fire snake starter look like" can be more productive than just asking "what's the next fire starter", it gives you a seed to grow an idea from. Sometimes they deviate from that idea, like how a fox isn't exactly a dog, but it still starts with that spark. They will probably stick with it for as long as it's useful, they might finish all of them but might not if the last one or two aren't providing that creative spark anymore
