A champion jobbing to anyone but the player character is pathetic, especially if it's to an npc that replaces their team every fight. It's bullshit that N won. He should have gotten thrashed by Alder and gotten character development from that, but instead the autist miraculously wins because N is more of a Gary Stu than Ash.

I don't buy it. I appreciate him Hyper Beaming a grunt, but that's only one moment. If he made a habit of being especially brutal toward Team Rocket, or even showed up in Goldenrod when they took over the radio tower, then maybe.

HG/SS aren't exactly the most canon of resources, and they're literally REFERENCING the hideout raid. Unless there's a second one I wasn't aware of, which might be the case because it's been so long since I've played.

ONLY if you seek them out. You don't have to fight them at all, and in that case, the player character only fights N's legendary. I think you're handed the alternate legendary.
