Is Pokémon Go my only option besides it being in Japanese? I did consider it and I wish the last Genesect in the raids just a few weeks ago could have been encountered as shiny.

Yeah I just found this written October 2020; Volcanion and Genesect can not be caught in the wild in any game and only Genesect has its shiny version available from a gen 5 event from Japan.
