Sorry kid, but the whole point of that is nostalgia. I understand Hoenn's starters were dodgy that the unga-bunga button forms were more palatable to you, but it was all drek to me since XY showed they didn't care about mega evolution as a mechanic, only as a gimmick

True and GF later realized this was a mistake. This is why Kanto mons got Megas in XY and even more in ORAS and then put them in Let's Go.

Now it should be Sinnoh's turn. We haven't seen the final evolutions in game yet for BDSP so I still have hope that they're getting Megas.

And that ignores what Game Freak were actually doing with the games beyond the gimmick. It makes sense they'd kick the remake to whos on contract and go off and expand on what they'd started in SS's Wild Area (a new direction for the series = free camera, open zone Gen IX). And given the GF art team would be hard at work on Legends and Gen IX, that also means there's no cunt spare to work with the whos to add new forms.
All boils down to keks not thinking before they opened their mouths.

Lets be honest here. Typhlosion, and Samurrott are shit tier PU mons and deserve to have some form of redemption via regional forms.
While the Sinnoh starters are at least somewhat viable.

You're a drooling idiot then, all the GF artists were working on Hisuian forms and the new pokémon for Legends and whatever regionalisations they're planning for Gen IX on top of the new native 'mons for the Region. Daddy Masuda didn't stutter and he was running overwatch on the whos making BDSP.

Designs could have been made before starting Legends or, ILCA modelers could just design them in 3D with input from Masuda and the art team without actually having them release a final 2D render until later. There's more than one way to do things.

Two-fold, they showed Empoleon in the photo club page on the website and there's apparently only 7 wholly new pokemon (of which we've seen 3 already) an 17 Hisuian forms (we've seen 4 of them).

And they didn't get Kalos's gimmick, go figure. It wasn't until they went back on it completely in Gen 7 and started doing a new type of regional gimmick that character customization became a mainstay instead of a gimmick.
