If it's going to sell AAA numbers (which it should by name alone), it should have a AAA budget.

Honestly, I don't mind the graphics.
But given that it'll probably lack the necessary content (Nat Dex, in-game GTS, Battle Frontier, etc.), I can understand why others would disagree.

The same people who think Pokémon should be split between two separate games.
But at least with this you can get the other if you start a new save file on a different profile.

Which is still a pain.
Because you need to be online to transfer 'mons from one save to another.
Even though they're on the same Switch.

You're not limited to post game actually. Start up a new save and get to the train station.
You get handed the reins for crown tundra as soon as you finish battling Peony and it doesn't matter if you win or lose. From there you can go get the Regis immediately. You'll have a leveling problem sure but if you got someone to help trade with you from one game to another, Home, or get some mons out of the Dynamax Adventures you can get it fast.

It's just especially annoying because the DLCs are functionally the same between versions. You get minor differences, like the rivals in IoA, but for the most part they're the same.
If stuff like the Regis/horses were version locked I'd still be annoyed but it'd be whatever, that's just how the games work. But giving you a choice then permanently locking you out of the other (on that save file) just feels stupid. At least IoA didn't have two different Kubfu evos, Urshifu just has different forms.

If anything, I prefer this.
At least you're guaranteed to get the Regi and Steed that you actually want, rather than having to trade for it.

Still would prefer if you could get both of each on one savefile and that the same DLC worked for both games, but it's better than nothing, I guess.

I've recently realized Pokemon shills don't actually give a shit about Gamefreak. Like, they defend GF with all their heart, but it isn't because they *like* GF.
It's because no matter what they're going to buy the games, and they need to justify those purchases. If they accept "yes GF are lazy and the games aren't good anymore" then they're also accepting that they're willingly spending $60 on subpar games. So to justify those purchases they have to insist GF are actually trying or that the games are genuinely good, because otherwise they're idiots willingly spending $60 on shitty games.
