Which way did you prefer to take to Fuschia? The quick way via Cycling Road or the long way south of Lavender?

When I was younger I'd go down Cycling Road since I'd usually do Pokemon Tower before fighting Erika but I find it flows better when going down the east side of Kanto instead now since a lot of the trainers on that side have unevolved Pokemon in comparison to the various Weezings, Muks, Machokes & Primeapes you encounter on Cycling Road.

Depends on what mood I'm in.
But usually Cycling Road, because the other way is a waste of time.
Same with Flying to Pallet Town to get to Cinnabar Island.

I used to when I was younger on particular routes since I didn't like going back to towns to heal. Nowadays I battle all the trainers and go back to towns, that way I pick up a bit more exp from wild encounters as well.
