I want to get the Diamond and Pearl remakes since it was the last Pokemon game we played before we grew out of it as teenagers. However, I also used to be a competitive player back then in both singles and VGC so I'm curious if I can still enjoy the game. (Particularly on the Switch)

My favorite Pokemon is Infernape so I'm also wondering if he's viable at a VGC/OU level even at a niche level or if he's just straight up unplayable.
