Since they're pulling a feudal Japan thing with the Diamond and Pearl remakes, they should do the same thing with the Black and White remakes and set them during the American Revolution

Unova was never under Galarian rule though. It was literally established as a country 3000-2500 years ago by uniting warring feudal lords.

Romance of the 3 Kingdoms or bunch of Native American Tribes getting united into one big one is more likely. Even if we scaled the time a bit, the American Civil War is much more likely since Resh/Zek seem to "very subtly" reference it.

Have the "natives" be people like N (but perhaps not to his extent) where they don't capture pokemon (N's lineage could be traced back to them), but rather call upon them for battle vs the "colonists" who use proto-pokeballs

All the people saying wild west are not Americans and don't know shit, they're all pajeets and rungols that only know Le cowboys XD as American history. It should definitely be colonial or revolutionary era. Civil war era has too much modern parallels and would appear more as a statement when Pokemon should never go that route.

The region should be expanded to be of a similar scale of Hisui and include more than just Unova. It can certainly work with a colonial American aesthetic with growing settlements while still centered at Unova as a native long standing kingdom and the current power structure doesn't need to be a foreign one like Galar.

Last I checked America is not 3000 years old either. The civil war aspect of it works because it's actually a huge part of Unova's lore. America is hardly the only country to have experienced one.

The colonial/manifest destiny shit would cause equally as much if not more Twittertard rage, and worse doesn't fit Unova's lore as we know it.

Colonial america doesn't even work as an aesthetic, since a lot of the old ruins and buildings don't reference it. Some of them look greco-roman or byzantine, yet alone "colonial british."

Unova doesn't even come close to the actual history of the United States, and even though we haven't got as long of a history as say, France or the UK, we still have one to be proud of.

Unova history is probably its own and it just HAPPENED to develop into a fake New York. It's probably going to talk about N's ancestor and the Original Dragon before it split, being the origin story of Zekrom and Reshiram.
