>>48522308Pokemon is the worst TCG when it comes to returns on packs. That's a given. And I know going into a booster box I'm 90% of the time losing money. However; I use the cards, extra commons, rares, trainers, etc to build cubes or 40 card decks for my friends and I to play. Monetarily it doesn't make sense, but it's low stakes gambling and it's a relativly cheap hobby where collecting is concerned. And for what it's worth, I just enjoy ripping packs. It's one of the few joys I have left in the miserable existance I have as a human on a dying planet filled with self entitled pricks who just want to wreck my day. And in the end, I just enjoy it, it's a form of entertainment. If you don't get it, that's fine. If you like buying singles, that's fine. Both in a sense are financially irresponsible, because they're just pieces of cardboard with Japanese creatures printed on them. Every card by default is only worth 10cents at most, but it's whatever you want it to be. It's only worth whatever someone else is willing to pay, and nothing more.
