>>48525743Design wise, I agree that 386 or even 251 is a better cutoff, but I'd still argue that 493 is a better cut-off point because if we set the cut off at 386 then we wouldn't have Gliscor, Weavile, and other evolutions of Pokemon which would otherwise be underwhelming. A less important reason are the fact that Gen 5 is supposed to be a soft-reboot, all the first four Gens take place in PokeJapan and are therefore close to each other, and the fact that Sinnoh is filled with more Legendaries and Mythicals than any other region in order to give it a sense of finality. I don't agree with dexcuts though, but I can see why some would argue for 493.
