Before Sword/Shield were released, and during their first weeks post-release, Toxtricity was being discussed and appreciated everywhere. Nowadays, not so much as a word… what happened?

It's pretty mediocre in game with a gimmicky ability, not hugely prominent across other media, and since it's not new anymore, there's no rush to make fanart and such of it. It still seems to be relatively popular when it does come up, though.

It’s decent if you slap a pair of specs on it, I use it from time to time. There’s nothing about its design that gets the autists going one way or the other so you won’t see it get a lot of shitposts though.

Because early on people were really unsure about the evolution method. Figuring it out as a community was fun though, it was a good struggle. But once it was figured out, no reason to keep up discussion.

Yes… but back in the week prior to the release date people talked about a rocky form.
I’m going to assume they miss understood its Gmax form for something else, especially it wasn’t available until they released it as an event months later
