Pokemon Summer and Winter - Released for Late 2023
Takes place in a region based off of Tohoku since COVID prevents GF from traveling overseas
Starters will be a beetle (Grass/Bug), raccoon dog (Fire), and a newt (Water)
Cover legendaries will be a giant bird (Fire/Flying) and a giant tortoise (Ice/Water)
DLC expansion will reveal a dragon (Grass/Dragon) and a white tiger (Ghost/Steel)

I mean, they made a NYC game less than ten years after 9/11, a Tohoku game 11 years after the Fukushima disaster, especially when a lot of those prefectures wanted to promote tourism to their cultural sites before COVID, isn't that unusual

I mean to be honest Armor Isle was clearly cut content reimplemented, so it wouldn't surprise me if they began DLC development ahead of time.

Like the idea at least, but unfortunately your Suzaku bird would be clashing with Ho-Oh & Moltres too much.

Making it Fire/Fairy would have it stand apart from the others. Like in Digimon, there would also have to be a 5th super legendary for the earth element:
Fire
Water
Wood
Metal
Earth

Would be based to continue the Japanese mythology after Legends, but I doubt it's going to happen.
