>>48534185>I was talking about final movesetsWell anon still needs to run Meganium for ~20 something hours before getting access to Giga Drain.
>but in two turns you'd not only put out more damage than an energy ball but you'd also likely heal roughly the amount you'd have with the item without wasting a damageless turn to heal. Why would you need to heal if you've taken out the enemy Pokemon in less time? Giga Drain has a BP of 60, Energy Ball has a BP of 80, Petal Dance has a BP of 90. There will be multiple situations where Giga Drain will have allowed the opposing Pokemon to survive and thus deal more damage to Meganium and therefore require more healing from Giga Drain, versus just killing the Pokemon outright and avoiding that damage entirely.
Furthermore, if you're fighting a tough opponent, you want all the damage you can get. This is why I have Meganium set up screens, I'd much rather just put some support up for the Pokemon I'm going to switch in to hit for SE damage than try to whittle down something that out DPS's Meganium while managing piddly heals.
This isn't even getting into how awful Grass is as an offensive type and how many Pokemon outright resist Grass moves anyway, at that point you're better off just using an item since the healing is guaranteed.
>high chance to leech seedMeganium doesn't learn Leech Seed naturally, dumbass, you need to breed for it, and again, if you're breeding, you're playing a totally different game since at that point there's no moveset limit anymore.
>Meganium is slow and bulky so it's best played that wayMeganium isn't a standard tanky bulk mon like Venusaur who can take damage and deal it bac. Meganium is a bulky SUPPORT Pokemon made to assist the rest of the team. I feel like this is the thing people who complain about Meganium refuse to comprehend, that Meganium is a team player Pokemon, not someone who's supposed to sit there the entire battle. Toxic is a waste of time and Leech Seed is unavailable generally.
