Pokemon Snap 2. The team that made it clearly love Pokemon as a concept and did what they could to make it feel like you were really going through their natural habitats and watching them just live. So not that long ago, really. Still haven't played the update because I want to wait until I need a pick me up.

Replayed BW about a year ago and played using a bunch of mons I never cared for. Audino legit carried me through the first 4 gyms off of secret power/regenerator cheese. Seismitoad was also surprisingly decent with early Muddy Water. Lilligant creamed anything she could set up against, and the Heatmor I cheated in around Route 4 was near-complete deadweight. Especially since she apparently only learns Flame Burst at level 32. Every single other fire type in the region (even counting Hot Monkay Dik!) is better than them by a country fucking mile.

Still has the best design tho.

Went to the first gen 8 competitive tournament in my city and used a combo of Ludicolo + Decorate Alcremie. Was really fun to use but I ended up being obliterated in top cut by people using Braviary.

Aside from that, the last time I enjoyed Pokemon IRL was HGSS where my friends and I would bring pokewalkers to school and pog over what Pokemon we brought that day.

back in the XY era, i met some random jap while looking for wifi battles, i was using a mono fighting team and he/she was using a mono flying team, it was close but i lost. We battled fairly often after that. Great times. i miss XY

I was playing Pokemon Wilds and the time flew by, I couldn't believe it. I was so scared of all the things that could get me, but enjoying every second of it. Pokemon should actually feel dangerous, and you should feel alone in the wilderness with these super powered monsters. I couldn't believe the series never really delved into that feeling before. Its great.
I also had a lot of fun playing Blissey in Unite just yesterday!

Its frustrating, I love Pokemon, I ADORE Pokemon, but I hate Gamefreak so much. I wish the mainline games were actually good so I could just drown in Pokemon all the time, sometimes I wish I was just a brainless consooooooooooomer and loved everything GF shat out.

It's not the most recent one one, but it is the most intense one in recent memory: hatching a perfect Gible on Christmas when coming back from work. I wasn't in the best mood since they team leader thought anyone wanted to listen to Christmas music all day when no one did, but then she hatched and made my day.

I finally played Crystal Clear and it was the most fun I've had with the in ages. Also booted up Supernova Sun the other day because I was missing Gen 7's comfy. Looking forward to Drayano's SG/SS update. ROM hacks and fanmade games are the true future of the series, just like with Sonic.
