>>48548416Presumably melt shit down that's mined from Iron Island which can then be used to make stuff, the location never made much sense though, like I get that the river access makes it easy to transport materials to the Ironworks but you either have to transport the materials back to Canalave City by boat or haul them through either Ravaged Path or Eterna Forest to get them to a major settlement, it probably would've made more sense to have the Ironworks just be off the coast of Route 218 that way you still need Surf to get to it but its location isn't in the middle of nowhere, plus that'd put it closer to Oreburgh City which is likely where it gets its fuel.
