It's just like the Whitney meme. If you're a kid playing GSC for the first time, you likely get filtered by fighting 3 Dragonites in succession. You won't be prepared for that on a casual romp. But if you know what you're doing and take advantage of resources, you can deal with him easily. Try running Mamoswine/Ampharos the next time you play HGSS. It completely destroys this team.

Why do so many poster larp about playing the old pokemon games, the point of the game is to catch them all anon. Unless you deliberately avoided any deviations from the gyms and elite four I don't see the challenge.
