Can't exactly remember if it was Piplup, Turtwig, or Chimchar since I started with the gen 4 TCG. Puplup is my favorite of the three right now though

Ugh fuck, depends on what journey you wanna go for. Bulbasaur for Fire Red that I barely remember, Cyndaquil and Turtwig with Gen 4 which I also don't remember much of...
The one I remember most is Tepig. It's not my favorite now, not by a long shot(I have like 30 ties in first place please help,) but Tepig and its line was cool.

First pokemon shiny card was Raichu, which became my favourite and still is. First game pokemon was Bulbasaur, still the best starter followed by Totodile!

Bulbasaur. It and the family are somewhere in the running. I've always felt they communicated the maturing of the starter Pokemon through evolution particularly well.
