Not objectively false. Unova is a straight line while in Kanto you can do Celadon/Fuchsia/Saffron/Cinnabar in whatever order you want or reach them in multiple ways.

That’s a fork in the road that takes you to the same place anyway. Unova has more branching paths to explore and offers real exploration instead of the SANE LOCATIONS but in a different order.

As much as i love gen 5, and I DO believe them to be the best pokemon games overall they are not the best games of all time (also ocarina of time are nowhere near the top)

my issues with are:
>mons evolve too late, gimping them in later gens

>being exclusively unovan mons in black and white 1 while refreshing should've included some of the rarer mons from previous gens to buff up the dex a little

>some designs are not that great, trubbish is a good "ugly-cute" design but garbodor is disappointing. this also goes for vanilluxe, vanilite is cute and so is vanillish

While I also love Gen 5, I disagree with these criticisms while having my own.
All mons should evolve later especially in games where the story bleeds into the postgame like BW, I don't think any old mons should be in BW's main game, and I don't think there was any downwards trend in designs from the previous generations.
Really my only two gripes are these:
1) The pokemon availability, in the beginning, is SLIGHTLY underwhelming, but it made sense because a high percentage of Unova buyers were new fans and needed the typing lesson in the Striaton Gym.
2) The Celestial tower
This just felt like a drawn-out ten minutes of giving Skyla some kind of attention outside her gym, with only two or three encounterable pokemon in the tower and trainers battling you on the way to the top. I would have rather them focus on her being a pilot somehow.
But that's basically it. It's my personal opinion that the rest of Unova's "flaws" are either forced memes or debunked, but I want discussion to try to prove me wrong with logic, not with shitposting.
