What the actual fuck. If you compare the trainer battle and wild battle themes, the wild battle theme has completely different, much higher quality samples than the cheap ones in the trainer theme. Why is the difference in quality so fucking massive between these two? This is legitimately embarrassing.

It seems like it's genuinely a placeholder fuck up. Mainly because it's the wrong.music playing. I reckon they forgot that Safari battles aren't just normal wild battles and didn't realize they had to program the audio in again.

what sensible change did oras do besides remove the entire point of safari zone and make it a normal fucking route

I honestly hate the Safari Zone. I wouldn't have wanted it to be outright removed though, just fixed. Either remove fleeing or the step limit. The Great Marsh was easily my least favourite of the bunch though, it could have been removed or made into a route like ORAS and I'd have missed nothing.

ORAS true crime was changing the layout of the map, nobody but literal autists gonna miss the garbage bait/rock mechanics, they were so shit i stopped bothering using them at all and just threw pokeballs and that did the job just fine so i never thouched them again
If both Gamefreak and ILCA can't come up with literally ANYTHING besides just lazily copypasting this ancient relic of game design it's not my fault
